For every museum, it is crucial to control air temperature, humidity and quality with great precision and long-term reliability. That was exactly why we were tasked by The Metropolitan Museum of Art to retrofit the AHU fan system that serves the area displaying Patio of the Castle of Velez Blanco.
With two modular Q-PAC ECM fans installed, we brought to the system sufficient redundancy. Meanwhile, these fans have no belts or bearings which means no need for regular maintenance. Quiet operating sound and higher energy efficiency are another huge plus that would surely benefit both visitors and managers down the road. As you can see the space in the air handler is pretty tight, and that is another reason we went for the smaller and lightweight Q-PAC fan.
