EJS was chosen to replace a unit responsible for a very critical medical production line for Medtronics. Haakon’s custom AHUs were a perfect match for the project in order to fill capacity, dehumidification, and filtration needs. The curb mounted unit absorbs vibration during operation, reducing impact on the roof and the unit itself. It includes four coils with combined capacities of 2,571 MBH, and NovelAire desiccant dehumidification wheels. These wound silica gel (WSG) wheels are designed for max durability in severe operating conditions with minimal maintenance, making them ideal for specialty applications like this one. When maintenance is required, the vestibule surrounding the AHU makes the unit easy to access from every side.
The project manager for F+F Mechanical was very impressed with the quality of the unit and EJS New York’s timeliness in getting all the supportive documentation together for this project, which made installation and rooftop assembly very efficient.
