Built in 1957 and previously noted for its prominent aluminum facades, the iconic 41-story office tower at 660 Fifth Avenue has just undergone a full renovation inside out, ready to present itself once again in the vibrant neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan.
Working closely with Haakon Industries, we provided 9 custom air handling units ranging from 14,000 CFM to 34,000 CFM for its HVAC upgrade. As 8 of them were outfitted with both energy recovery wheels and efficient Q-PAC ECM fan arrays, this set of units also makes for an energy efficiency revamp that shoots for LEED Gold certification. With everything we’ve done here, new tenants can enjoy year-round indoor comfort while building owners will also be given a great helping hand meeting new NYC efficiency goals.
