EJS was selected as basis of design to control the installation and operation of the first hybrid heat pump job in New York City. The Hybrid Heat Pump System conserves heat within the fluid loop instead of rejecting it to the atmosphere through a fluid cooler. This heat can then be used for various building heating requirements. A total of 119 Omega Vertical Stacked Hybrid Heat Pumps were installed, ranging from 1-2 tons, as well as an Epsilon Modular Plant for both chilled and hot water control, earning the mixed-use building a LEED Certification.
